In today's day and age it is appalling that animals are not only shipped in compact lorries to slaughter houses,  but when they are there, they are subjected to terror and fear. In addition, the issue of kosher and halal meat is causing the blurring of boundary lines between what is respectful to religion and fair and just for sentient beings. Robert Goodwill MP is the new Minister for Farming and I believe as a farmer himself, he would want to see improvements in the slaughter processes. Please lobby him, to ask him, as a priority, that he will look into the slaughter house industry and review practices, ethics and pledge to improve conditions for animals to stop them feeling fear.
