The Australind Veterinary Hospital has been serving the local community since 1980. Unfortunately, the building is starting to age. We want to provide a safe working environment for our staff and also provide a better facility for our clients and their pets. The Australind Veterinary Hospital is conveniently located for many of our clients who wish us to remain. We feel it is necessary to demolish the old building and build a new one. Due to modern zoning, which did not exist at the time the hospital was established, the Harvey Shire is not supportive of a rebuild. We need community support for us to build you a modern, purpose built hospital.

It will present better and add to a more attractive streetscape. There will be reduced noise for our immediate neighbours since the building will be sound proofed to reduce noise from barking dogs. The modern facility will be cleaner and safer for our staff, and it will be a nicer environment to work. It will also allow us to provide a better service for our clients and patients because it will be purpose built. We will have dedicated cat, small dog and large dog wards to reduce their stress during hospitalisation, and reduce noise. We will have a bigger waiting room allowing us to provide a better service. The car park will be upgraded.
