Speedy Justice For Slain Adewale Adeyemo

Adewale Adeyemo was an easy going young man in his prime. He was so full of life when he went to work like the rest of us on Tuesday, 11th April, 2017. Only recently transferred by his company to monitor and supervise educational projects of the Rivers State Government in Ogoni land. On that fateful day, some miscreants attacked and beat him to death over his project report concerning the ongoing renovation work he was supervising at the Birabi Memorial Grammar School, Bori, Rivers State.

Ade, as he was fondly called by friends, was energetic, jovial, polite, professional in conduct, and a University of Port Harcourt-trained Engineer. They snuffed life out of this promising young man who was only doing his job to ensure children in that community get educated in a befitting school environment.  He died after being brutalized by some youths suspected to be working with a contractor on the project. How barbaric!, How wicked!, How inhuman can people be?

We must seek justice for him. We must ask questions, we must speak out! It could be you tomorrow. It could be your son, your brother, your cousin, your nephew, your father, your church member, your colleague, your friend, oh for Christ sake, it could be anyone, but today let us all unite to see that the killers of Adewale Adeyemo are speedily brought to justice.
