Recent events

The closure of Strines Road and recent events in High Lane have once again highlighted how important it is that we get a bypass, and as we know, this petition is carrying some weight with the bypass idea once again back on the agenda for SMBC, CEC and with local politicians.

Strines road demonstrated 1) there is just no resilience in our infra structure and 2) the ancient, existing routes of the A6 and Strines road are crumbling and cannot take the traffic volume.

In High Lane we have an unfortunate situation which seems to be pitching local people against each other, and the police being called out twice now to remove residents from the highway. Yet actually we all want the same thing - quieter, cleaner, safer local roads.

Lets have another push on signatures, please?
