A6 Year One Traffic Flows and Journey Time Report

Hello,
I appreciate it has been a while. I hope everyone is OK and doing the best they can in these really challenging circumstances. What is clear to me is that people in our area really look out for each other. Lets keep it up!
Clearly calls for a bypass went on the back burner, but as we can all see traffic is returning to normal. In September local school running bus services are asking parents to drive their children. Coupled with a decrease in public transport usage our roads may well be busier than ever.
On top of that it does not look as if Derbyshire, Cheshire East, or Greater Manchester have taken advantage of any funding for cycle/walking grants along the route.
Anyway, I've managed to get my hands on the much awaited traffic count data. It appears to suggest that as we suspected the A555 has had an adverse effect on our area - increasing journey times, causing an increase in HGVs, encouraging rat-running etc. Separately we already know it has also lead to an increase in pollution.
If you'd like to see the report please email me at simonbrownbill@hotmail.co.uk and I will send it to you.
The petition is still live and I will continue to make the powers that be aware of your support. Please do forward it on and share to those with an interest.
Best wishes
Simon
