Update from 1st April 2020
I just spoke with Hollie at the BBC, and she works with Laura Kuenssberg's (BBC Political Editor) team. (Thank you Mike Evers!)
We have a main goal and are hoping to get air-time through Laura Kuenssberg (BBC Political Editor) to table the question at the PM’s Daily Update as to why the directors of micro/small limited companies are being excluded from the government financial help that is being afforded to other self-employed. This is a priority before we go under the Government’s radar.
In the meantime, we have engaged with Laura’s department, and have secured air-time tomorrow for those people who are in this group and live in and around London (why only London is not clear at this stage). They are particularly looking for people in this situation/group, but only for unusual cases. So, we are looking for volunteers from our group to be aired tomorrow. All of you who have signed this petition, please be aware that this is lodged with Parliament, and many, many MP’s through yourselves.
In addition, today, we have had correspondence from John MCDonnell (Shadow Chancellor), who has said he will raise this issue with the chancellor today to impress upon him the urgent need to act on this now.
Please, everyone bear with us at this time, but if anyone has any information or guidance on how to continue to press this issue please post you suggestions. It’s imperative we maintain continuity and remain focused on our target goal (as above).
