Dear Supporters
This consultation closes at 11:45pm on 14 September 2021
We recently issued a petition update about a new risk to domestic abuse survivors navigating the family courts:
In drafting the Statutory Guidance to the new Domestic Abuse Act, it appears the findings of the Ministry of Justice's own 'Harm Report' have not even been considered. These two processes have never been joined up. This is unacceptable and potentially even negligent on the part of the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office.

Please add your voice to the consultation we must ensure that perpetrators are not handed another tool to use against protective parents and their children who are trying to escape abuse.
There are two ways to respond, either an online submission or you can download a form that can be then emailed to the Home Office - Please see details near the bottom of the consultation web page under 'Ways to Respond'
#thecourtsaid campaign has issued a handy guide to navigating the consultation form https://thecourtsaid.files.wordpress.com/2021/09/have-your-say-how-to-take-part-in-the-consultation-1.pdf
Thank you as ever for your unwavering support. We are in this for the long haul and will not be stopping until the necessary reforms are implemented.
Much love
Rachel & Teresa xx
