Dear Supporters
Our petition is calling for changes in Family Court 'Private Law' proceedings around the treatment of survivors of domestic abuse and their children.
However, we also hear harrowing stories from people who lose their children in 'Public Law' proceedings as a result of some kind of crisis, never to have their children returned to them when things improve.
So we thought you might be interested in supporting this petition to end this practice of forced adoption in the UK.
Forced adoption, or non-consensual adoption, allows the UK government to put children up for adoption without parental consent.
The practice is in sharp decline around the world, as governments now understand the devastating impact the policy has on adopted children and family members.
We also want take the opportunity to make you aware of this new government consultation that will be of interest to many of our supporters and have your voice heard at the children’s social care workforce inquiry.
Submissions are required by 30 August 2019.
Much love
Rachel & Teresa xx
