It is inappropriate and unfair to check proficiency in English language in Hindi. I do not know the meaning of 'propitious' , but when i see the word in HINDI ( my mother tongue) and I am asked the meaning of 'Anukul' it would be quite easy for me to answer it even if I am an illiterate. But that would never happen in the PSU Examinations. Such kind of mistakes happen only when HINDI is the alternative language provided in the question paper. We take pride in saying 'Unity in diversity' is the strength of India, but we feel reluctant to respect the same diversity evolved in its languages.
