Imagine the horror of never seeing blue skies and sunshine. He is held with 43 other Canadian men, women & kids in camps/prisons called "Guantanamo on the Euphrates". Ottawa refuses to lift a finger in their support, even though Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, The International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations, the US State Department, Save the Children and, in a rare show of cross-party unanimity, a Canadian Parliamentary Committee, have all called for repatriation.

On May 12, Sally, Jack's mother, visited the Prime Minister's office to request a meeting. Her eloquent statement on why such a meeting is desperately needed can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8e-Jlfn0i4
Last week, Sally’s interview on the history of her family's efforts to bring home Jack and the other detainees, situated in a broader pattern of decades-long Canadian government abuses, was released. It's an outstanding work of journalistic integrity by Talking Radical Radio's Scott Neigh, accompanied by excellent in-depth writing: https://mediacoop.ca/node/119059?fbclid=IwAR3U2Np3xbU8I9eg0duMR2FBDu5xO7WRWBQcQ8-VXID6khmQVAZUyRwhejU
