Students at Rider University are increasingly concerned with the current state and future prospects of our school. Reflecting upon the administrative decisions from the past months and looking ahead toward the next year, we'd like to express our concern through four simple requests: 

We ask that Rider's administration remember that it exists to facilitate education for all of Rider's students and that its decisions today will affect the students and alumni far into the future; 

...that Rider's administration and its Board of Trustees practice sound financial judgment and reexamine its harsh decision to close the Westminster Choir College;

...that Rider's administration enter into negotiations with the Rider AAUP in a spirit of cooperation and take every possible step to avoid a crisis come the beginning of the Fall semester; 

...and that the Rider chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) enter into negotiations with Rider's administration in a spirit of cooperation and take every possible step to avoid a crisis come the beginning of the Fall semester.
