Governor Gina Raimondo replace the dead Rhode Island Statehouse Christmas tree
Governor Raimondo, once again Rhode Island is receiving embarrassing national headlines on our Statehouse Christmas tree that died under the watch of your administration. Much like the UHIP crisis, the Christmas tree was under your care and has suffered an untimely death. With more than a week before Christmas, the people call upon you to replace the deceased Christmas Tree with a new Statehouse Christmas tree. The Christmas season does not end on December 25, and the Rhode Island Statehouse Christmas tree should stand proudly to welcome 2018. It was humiliating enough for you to douse our tree in blue to symbolize Rhode Island being a "blue state," and make a political statement to President Trump that because of him you will have a "blue Christmas." It is unacceptable for Rhode Island to have a "dead blue Christmas." You owe it to Rhode Islanders to replace the Christmas tree at the Rhode Island Statehouse.
