**Our Russian Orloff conservation efforts just had a breakthrough success!**

I have amazing news to share - Kevin (our Russian Orloff rooster) is officially a father! We had a miracle hatch that I just have to tell you about.

After our incubator was accidentally unplugged, I assumed all the eggs were lost. I was cleaning up and had already tossed the eggs in a trash bag when I heard the tiniest cheeping sound! One determined little chick was still fighting to hatch!

The membrane had dried out from lack of humidity in the final days, so I carefully helped the little one emerge from its shell. Against all odds, this resilient chick survived and is now thriving!

This is exactly why our conservation petition matters so much. This little fluffball represents the next generation of this threatened heritage breed. With fewer than 1,000 Russian Orloffs left globally, every successful hatch is a victory for conservation.

As we approach 300 signatures on our petition, this couldn't have happened at a better time. We're not just talking about conservation anymore - we're actively contributing to it!
