Why Ash Regan’s ‘Unbuyable’ bill is right for Scotland: Unravelling the myths around the Nordic Model

We are delighted that Ash Regan MSP will be joining us for this webinar to discuss her Unbuyable bill (officially the Prostitution, Offences and Support (Scotland) Bill). If passed, this will introduce the Nordic Model in Scotland.

Ash will be joined by Venessa MacLeod, a survivor of Edinburgh’s notorious brothels (known locally as ‘saunas’) and Heli St Luce.

Themes they will address include:

• What does the Bill consist of?
• What would it mean for Scotland if it is passed by the Scottish Parliament?
• What would it mean for England and Wales?
• What is the Nordic Model anyway?
• How does the Nordic Model compare to full decriminalisation of prostitution?
• People say the Nordic Model forces prostitution underground and makes it more dangerous for the women involved. Is this true?
