Hi everyone,
Today marks six months since the tragic and senseless loss of Robin Simpson, taken from us on November 1st, 2023. It has been a moment since we posted as we have been desperately trying to heal. As we commemorate her life, we also face ongoing challenges in our quest for justice.
Despite the passage of time, Robin’s estranged husband and murderer, Michael Simpson Jr, has yet to enter a plea. Michael's bail has not been revoked and remains set at $34,000, allowing him the opportunity to further delay the judicial process. This ongoing delay not only hinders our pursuit of justice but continues to inflict deep emotional wounds on their 9-year-old daughter, Essence, who tragically witnessed her mother's murder.
The actions of Michael, supported by his parents have only compounded the family's suffering. In probate court, Michael and his parents have made aggressive attempts to seize assets that should rightfully belong to Essence, demonstrating a shocking lack of compassion and decency towards his own daughter.
As we fight these legal battles, our primary focus remains on Essence's well-being and recovery. The past months have been dedicated to supporting her through this incredibly tough time, helping her to navigate her grief and begin the long process of healing. His next court date is May 13th but it will probably be reset yet again.
