More than 150 open drains or Nalas or waste water carrying rivers in Delhi are leading to Global warming through continuous release of greenhouse gases like methane, nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide etc. These harmful gases are damaging the ozone layer and leading to Global Warming. 
This winter season we are already seeing increased temperatures. The coming summer is going to be more hot comparatively because of the continuous damage these gaseous releases do to the environment of Delhi-NCR. 
The river pollution is no more limited to just water bodies or soil, it has been continuously damaging the air quality. Delhi getting converted into a Gas Chamber every winter is due to this Green house damage happening on its soil through the open drains. In winters the pollutants settle near the surface due to fog and we all are able to see it and feel it compared to summer when it increases the temperature outside and makes outdoor life difficult. With every changing season the problem is going to get worse if we are not awake and aware of its root cause.

Let’s all unite and make sure to raise this issue to every responsible person and agency to get the solution at the earliest. Else be prepared to be roasted by the pollution.
