A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who has signed and shared our petition to save the historic Crumpsall and Cheetham District Library. Your support means the world to us – and it’s making a difference.

While Manchester City Council has not yet shared any formal updates, we’re beginning to see signs of progress. Enforcement action has now been issued against the current owners, who have so far obstructed efforts to secure and restore the building. Encouragingly, as part of a regeneration study commissioned by the Council, the library is under active consideration for future plans.

This is a critical moment, and we’re gearing up to increase our campaigning in the coming weeks. We’d love for you to be involved – whether it’s sharing the petition, helping spread the word, or lending your time or ideas.
