Hello fellow petition supporters,

Thank you all so much for your support with our petition! I also very much appreciate those who have taken a moment to email the stakeholders regarding your personal concerns with Toronto Humber Yacht Club. I want to assure you our voices are being heard. But we have to keep speaking up for another few months as the final decision on THYC's lease application has been delayed until the end of this year.

We have many valid issues with THYC revolving around their destruction of the public lands they have been privileged to occupy to their unsafe habits while boating on the Humber River.

It's hard to believe but there is a JetSki in this picture getting ready to dock at THYC, can you spot it?

This picture was taken around 9:30pm, well after dusk and although the JetSkier was moving at a safe speed he did not have his running lights on making it near to impossible to see him.

Other unsafe practices I've witnessed personally include paddling behind a THYC JetSkier as she texted away on her cellphone virtually all the way from the mouth of the Humber to the THYC docks. Again she was going at a safe speed but she was also veering left & right as she moved up the river blissfully unaware of paddlers on the river.

It's unfortunate that THYC members feel the Humber River is their private playground but such is their attitude so there is little alternative but to have the club's 20 year lease rejected before a club member has a chance to seriously injure other river users.

Once again, please share this  petition far and wide and if you can take a moment to email the stakeholders (emails above) to share your concerns it be much appreciated.

Thank you again for your support!!!
