I want to thank everyone who stood with me and signed this petition. But I won’t hide the truth anymore despite everything, there has been absolutely no response. It feels like our voices have been ignored completely, as if we never spoke at all. The numbers clearly weren’t enough to move the council, and that realization is heartbreaking.

What hurts the most is watching people suffer in silence. So many are angry and exhausted, yet choose not to act because they believe there’s no point that the council will do whatever it wants anyway. And maybe that’s true. They do have the power. But we handed it to them the moment we stopped fighting, the moment we decided staying quiet was easier than standing together.

Every single day, I see countless cars driving through the restricted area. People would rather keep paying penalties again and again than take a stand or support a shared cause. That silence, that acceptance, is crushing. It makes this fight feel lonely, and at times, hopeless.

Still, to those who signed and supported this petition, you matter. You should be proud. You refused to sleep while decisions were made over you. You tried to make a difference when others turned away. Even if we failed to get a response, at least we can say we did not stay silent.
