Your chance to speak up: Can you do a 5 min delegation?

Quick update, and an urgent ask.

Halton Regional Council meets next Wednesday and the public can delegate (speak) at the meeting. You don't need to be an expert. You don't need a prepared speech. You just need to show up and tell Council that this issue matters to you.

Five minutes to speak. That's all it takes. 

But you need to register by TODAY (Friday) at 3:00 PM.

It takes one minute to fill out. You don't need to know exactly what you'll say yet. If you need help preparing, reach out to me directly and I'd be glad to support you. 

The last time folks delegated on this issue, Council heard from heritage experts, archivists, and community members who made it clear: this decision was made behind closed doors, based on a secret report, with no public consultation. That conversation moved the needle, but we need to persist. The more voices they hear, the harder it is to ignore.

A number of the people sitting in that room are now running for re-election. They need to know we're watching and also intend to make this an election issue.
