UPDATE: 4-H WILL BE RETURNING TO THE 2027 KITSAP FAIR! 🎉

We have just received an update that the Kitsap Fair and County 4-H will be entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and 4-H will be participating in the 2027 Kitsap Fair!

This is a huge step forward, and we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who signed this petition, shared it, spoke up, contacted officials, and stood alongside our kids and families.

Your voices mattered.

But while we are grateful to see 4-H returning to the Kitsap Fair, our questions have not been answered.

As parents and members of the 4-H community, we still deserve transparency and accountability regarding:

Why was the decision made to pull 4-H from the fair in the first place?
What happened that led to this situation?
Who was involved in making the decision?
What accountability measures are being put in place to prevent something like this from happening again?
Why were families not given clear and timely communication throughout the process?
A generic update announcing that an MOU will be established does not answer these questions.

We are asking Washington State University (WSU) to provide families with a clear and transparent explanation of what happened, why it happened, and what steps are being taken moving forward.

Our children and families deserve more than a resolution on paper. They deserve transparency, communication, and accountability.

We are thankful that our voices helped bring attention to this issue, and we will continue to advocate for the young people who participate in 4-H and the families who support them.
