Please help save Matthews Yard!

Hi, you supported our campaign to curb the council's plans to increase street trading fees and we were partially successful, so thank you for helping. Unfortunately in May this year we found out we had a bigger battle as developers have plans to buy the building, evict us and demolish it to build flats. If these proposals go ahead, without us finding a new home, then Matthews Yard will close in Summer 2018. We are working with the local authority and GLA to find a solution and discussions have been very positive and supportive so far, we are however using Change.org as a platform to secure as much public support a possible for Matthews Yard to demonstrate to all would-be stakeholders how much the local community values Matthews Yard. Our goal is not to prevent progress in Croydon, but to preserve the things people love. Matthews Yard, we believe, is one of those things and hope you will agree and sign and share this new petition.
