UPDATE: Re Bondi Synagogue DA - 413/2017

Please see below letter that Rabbi Ulman sent to the community yesterday. START: Dear Community, We are happy to inform you that a NEW DA for our synagogue has been lodged with Waverley council. The new DA addresses thoroughly the security concerns that were raised by the court. It should be noted that the only reason why it wasn't addressed in the previous submission as thoroughly is that it is unprecedented that one must also include a security threat assessment and prevention plan for the surrounding neighbourhood, and we never envisaged that the threat of terrorism would be brought up at all. Since the DA was certified by the court to be compliant on every other aspect we are very confident that the DA will be approved in a timely fashion. We need your help! Within the next 48 hours, we ask that you email letters of support (in your own words) and include this number in the SUBJECT line "DA - 413/2017 - 105 Wellington Street Bondi Beach" and email it to waver@waverley.nsw.gov.au and it is VERY important that you cc free105go@gmail.com so that we can have a record of it.
