Following the enormous public anger instigated by the airing of 'Dirty Business' on Channel 4, we're hosting a protest against the privatisation of the water industry on Saturday, 25th April at 11am in Whitstable, where we will directly call for a return to public ownership.
The protest will comprise a march along Tankerton sea front towards Southern Water's Swalecliffe Treatment Plant, where we will hear speeches from Feargal Sharkey and Ash Smith (Windrush WASP, as portrayed in Dirty Business) plus others TBC.
I appreciate that for many of you, this will be too far to travel. But if you do live in the south east and fancy joining us for the day to make noise that will impossible to ignore, we would love to have your support.
