First, I want to give my immense thank you to everyone who's signed this petition. Whether you're a student, faculty, practicing anthropologist, or friend of the department, you've made a difference.
Our next steps involve a resolution in the undergraduate student government here at Berkeley, meetings with University administration, and potentially fundraising (more to come in an update down the road).
To those of you who are anthropology students or faculty (or have some other experience with our library) I want to link this testimony submission form. This has been a fantastic and powerful way for us to understand and convey your experiences with our library.
Lastly, for those of you in the Bay Area, I encourage you to come to our meeting with the ASUC, tomorrow at 8pm in the Senate Chambers of Eshleman hall. There is a chance our resolution will not be voted on tomorrow, but it will be introduced regardless and we will be given the opportunity to speak. I implore you to come and speak to the importance of the Anthropology library.
Please continue to share this petition and keep an ear out for more!
