MEDIA RELEASE: 'SOUTH & WEST GIPPSLAND TRANSPORT GROUP MEETING 7PM-9PM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 AUSTRAL HOTEL KORUMBURRA'
A message to all supporters, the South and West Gippsland Transport Group will be holding a meeting on Thursday the 15th of September, 2016 at the Austral Hotel, 34 Bridge St, Korumburra VIC 3950 upstairs between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
On the agenda is:
*Election of an interim Chair of the South and West Gippsland Group due to Cr. Andrew McEwen's upcoming Council election and Max Semken taking leave from the group.
*Report on the Meeting with Rail Tram and Bus Union on Monday the 15th of August, which Cr. Andrew McEwen and Chris Cantlon attended.
*Report new Bus proposal and response following the release of the Regional Network Development Plan.
*Gathering the the South Gippsland Shire Council Candidates positions and views on an Integrated Transport Plan and the Return of Rail to South Gippsland (Leongatha).
*Update on the submissions of interest for both Korumburra and Leongatha railway stations following announcements made by South Gippsland Shire Council and VicTrack since mid year.
