Dear friends, It's been a week since we responded to the ABC Board with a second open letter, and unfortunately, there's been no confirmation that the letter was received, nor any response. We are extremely disappointed and angry. We feel that the issues raised here are valid, reasonable, and of great cultural importance. Not only is this 'wall of silence' an indicator that our voices are being ignored; it suggests that the Board really don't have any understanding AT ALL of the real social effects these decisions will have on an already struggling independent music industry and an increasingly side-lined regional population. Folks, we're in this for the long haul. We are a small team of volunteer campaigners and we're doing everything we humanly can with little to no resources. But we can't do this without you. We'd like to get the word out to regional listeners who don’t know or understand what’s going on with the ABC’s digital agenda. We’d like regional people to talk to their local newspapers and communities. We need musicians to talk to other musicians and the media. We’d like industry organisations to talk to other industry organisations. We need people to lobby politicians and we need signatures. What are you able to do? Every small bit counts.
