WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET TO 500 BELCHERTOWN SIGNATURES ON OUR PETITION BY SEPTEMBER 29!

Dear supporters of rematriation,

It’s been a while since we’ve posted an update here, but we’ve been busy! In the last year we’ve concentrated our efforts on building broad support in Belchertown for returning Lampson Brook Farm to the Nipmuc. We’ve tabled at town events such as the Farmers Market, Earth Day Celebration, National Night Out, and Lake Wallace Fest. For the most part Belchertown residents are very excited and on board with our vision. Our lawn signs are all over town, which is great to see!  

Although the delegation who represents Belchertown remains unhelpful and unsupportive, we’ve been in conversation with important people at the state level who want to move this effort forward. A big uptick in petition signatures- especially from Belchertown residents- would be really helpful right now to further press decision makers to act. Here’s where you come in- can you ask 5-10 friends in MA (especially Belchertown!) to sign our petition in the next week?

If you feel inspired to take further action, please contact your representatives in support of this effort. A short simple email or phone call is effective- who you are, what you want (return Lampson Brook Farm to the Nipmuc), and why it’s important to you- is great. Find your legislator here.
