This chart are The Ratings for Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network dated in 4/30/18 Look at Cartoon Network Ratings in 2017-2018 Ratings at the three major kids’ cable broadcasters – Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and Cartoon Network – are in an unstoppable free fall. Everyone knows the cause, but no one knows how to stop it. Children are abandoning traditional cable in droves, according to a story in Bloomberg Businessweek, with this year’s ratings shaping up to be the worst yet. The culprit in general is streaming services, and more specifically, Netflix. If you’re an executive at one of those three cablers, the numbers are downright ugly: ratings are down 20 percent from just a year earlier; ad sales haven’t grown in five years (currently stuck at about $1.2 billion annually); and between 2010-2017, children’s viewership of conventional tv dropped 30 percent. Bloomberg points out that the children’s channels are making an effort to catch up in the streaming space: Nick has a platform called Noggin, Time Warner offers a Boomerang subscription service, and both Disney and Nick are getting ready to launch more expansive streaming services. But it’s an uphill battle at this point. Even Susanne Daniels, global head of original content for Google’s Youtube, admitted recently that its own Youtube Red subscription service was no match against Netflix and its 125 million global subscribers. “I don’t think you can compete with Netflix at this point; they’re too far ahead,” she said. “But I do think, in time, we can compete with Hulu and Amazon and certainly Apple, and hopefully, you’ll see us do that. Here's are some more comment I find on YouTube on the Cartoon Cartoons Friday Videos 1.This generation will never understand the greatness we had.. 2.I miss Cartoon Cartoons, and Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, and things before it turned into crap. 3.For todays' generation: Cartoon Network wasn't always what it is today. Cartoon Network used to have credibility, diginity, plenty of hit shows that brought joy to millions of children and not just hormone-graced teenagers. those were the days of the Cartoon Cartoons. 4.Cartoon Network has a FEW good shows now but at the same time, not as many shows in general. Cartoon Cartoons were all great!!! 5.I wish they could just bring back Cartoon Fridays and gave it a new program title. Well I've got a better one, TGICF Thank Goodness It's Cartoon Friday ...............Cartoon Network like today is awesome, but GOD DAMN!!! Uncle Grampa has got to be the worst Cartoon Network show of all time!!! 6. It's really sad to see what Cartoonetwork has become now that all the old cartoons have taken out. The Powerpuff girls at least got thier nice reboot. The 1990's and early years of 2000 is when Cartoonetwork was at it's prime for younger audiences. now in late 2017 it seems we'er getting redrawn characters. Pokemon and Sonic boom have been pulled from the network plus Teentitans are stupidly redrawn. I kind of liked the old teen titans myself. I really miss my days as a kid and growing up with all those old cartoons. 7.I think that Cartoon Network should do another Cartoon Cartoon Weekend for old times sake. 8.I miss the old Cartoon Network 9.i feel sad for kids of today missing out on all the awesome shit we grew up with on those channels 10.Seriously. Where are kids getting moral lessons now? Or exploring their imaginations? Cartoons did that for me. Check out this video From FBE of KIDS REACT TO CARTOON NETWORK - 25TH ANNIVERSARY (Powerpuff Girls, Dexters Laboratory & More!) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=96D0tpMWS8I Ask Yourselves this question, Do you Think that Kids of today's Generation should watch The Powerhouse and Golden Era of the CN we've watch in our childhood or Let stay the same?
