ON OCTOBER 22, 2024, MAYOR AND STREETWORKS UNVEILED AN "AMENDED" REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR ONE WESTFIELD PLACE INCLUDING A FAST-TRACK APPROVAL PROCESS TO BE COMPLETED IN 3 WEEKS---SERIOUSLY?!

Mayor ignores requests from new councilmen for more time to review and discuss with constituents and are told 'NO' -  Vote taken, 5-4 approved to move to Planning Board on November 4th for Master Plan Consistency Review and then on November 12th for Redevelopment Plan Approval and 12/3 for Revised Redevelopment Agreement Approval.

Our 4 newly elected councilmen were not included in the preliminary discussions and were not given financial information until the day before the meeting!  Apparently the developer and the town's professional consultants were working on this ALL summer long!   But the public and residents don't even get to kick the tires!!

Why now??? Where is due process? Where is transparency?

This Amended Plan affects our Built Environment and Quality and Character of Westfield--it's still TOO BIG & TOO MUCH FOR OUR TOWN!
