As we expected, the last few Town Council meetings moved the OWP project ahead.  This was not a surprise.

We showed up. We made our statements for the public record and we held our town officials feet to the fire.

There are additional meetings taking place in upcoming weeks, most of which will continue the rubber stamp of this massive over-development.

In the meantime- Keep Those Lawn Signs Up!

They are bringing awareness to the community- and many people still are not aware of the size, scope and financial ramifications of OWP.

How can you help?

  • Keep your signs up!
  • Volunteer: If you can help deliver flyers in the next few weeks (any amount will help), please sign up on our website.

This has been very effective to inform the many residents who are not on social media or following this closely-and we see petition numbers go up whenever we deliver flyers.

Spread the Word & direct people to the Petition (still the only data point we have for community sentiment). And we have Change.org scrub for those individuals who continue to sign fake names.

Show up at upcoming meetings & write letters to the editor at TAP Westfield and PATCH: we must be vigilant in our commitment to hold our elected officials accountable and to keep our concerns in the public record. We want new and different voices. We will send updates on upcoming council meetings.

As always, please contact us if you have any questions, thoughts or ideas to share.
