The Issue

Just as you and I cherish our families, wild animals form deep, complex relationships with their own kin. Imagine being torn from your family, without a chance to say goodbye. It's unimaginably painful. Yet, this is the reality many animals in zoos face. They are snatched from their natural habitats and their kin, not for their welfare but for our entertainment. This feels immoral and lacks empathy towards these beings who cannot speak for themselves.

Recent research indicates that many animals housed in zoos show signs of stress and boredom. According to a report by the Born Free Foundation, animal abnormal behavior is commonplace in zoos, signifying deep discomfort and stress in these animals.

Let us redefine the role of zoos in our society. Rather than places where animals are held captive for our entertainment, let's make them rescue and rehabilitation centers for animals that can't thrive in the wild. This policy will not only encourage ethical treatment of animals but also foster a culture of compassion towards animal welfare

Now is the time to raise our voices for those who cannot do so themselves. Join us in petitioning for zoos to support rescued animals exclusively. This change could help save countless lives and diminish the exploitation these animals suffer. Remember, every signature brings us a step closer to achieving this goal. Sign this petition today.
