We have been partially successful.  Last night at Tiny Council we had a good representation of library supporters. 

Tiny Council voted to reimburse Midland or Springwater libraries for Tiny residents' memberships.  Tiny households will be allowed one library membership of their choice between Midland and Springwater libraries. 

Mayor David Evans outlined the history of Tiny's disagreement with Penetang Public Library.  The crux of the issue is the refusal of Penetang Public Library to accept Tiny's traditional nominated member to the library board this year.  Tiny has had a Tiny council appointed representative on the Penetang Library board for 30 years.  Tiny will not pay towards the Penetang library if their representative is not accepted.  This stalemate has lasted for most of 2023.  We can only hope that the adults in the room prevail as negotiations continue.
