Thank you for the signs and shares

Dear Supporters,

A heartfelt thank you for signing the petition to restore the longer, seasonal opening hours at Hampstead Cemetery. Your support has already made a powerful statement — we’ve reached 222 signatures in just a three days, and the responses and shares have been incredibly helpful, thank you.

This petition is about more than just gates and timetables — it’s about access, dignity, and protecting a peaceful, green space that so many in our community deeply value, especially our older and less mobile neighbours.

We’re now aiming to reach 300+ signatures by the end of this weekend, and we’ll be out in the area around the cemetery gathering more support in person over the coming days.

If you can, please continue to share the petition with your friends, neighbours, and networks — whether online or offline. Every signature counts.

We’ll be in touch again soon with next steps and updates on the response from Camden Council and other key stakeholders.

With much thanks,

Jill
