From the very beginning, the City of Lipa has nurtured a strong culture of environmental care through the Lipa Tree Planting Activities, led by our very own Mayor Eric Africa. This petition has become a powerful symbol of that commitment — and more importantly, it solidified the community’s voice to continue what we’ve started.
This is a huge milestone, but the real victory begins when we take the initiative to plant trees within ourselves — in our homes, our neighborhoods, our choices.
Bahagi ng pangunahing programa ni Mayor Eric Africa ang pagtataguyod sa kalikasan. That’s why he continues to call for massive and consistent tree planting efforts across the city, through his 1,000,000 Trees Campaign.
- October 22, 2024, milestone was marked with the “Road to 100,000 Coffee Trees,” as part of the 1 Million Tree Planting Program. The ceremonial tree planting was held in Brgy. Pusil together with the Sangguniang Barangay and barangay functionaries. This is possible with the help of the City Cooperatives Office, City Agriculturists Office, and City Community Affairs Office.
- November 23, 2024, another milestone was accomplished. Mayor Eric Africa was joined by representatives from P.K.I Company, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, government employees led by CENRO Mr. Ric Libon, residents and officials of Brgy. Malitlit including Brgy. Chairman Kap. Freddie Villapando — all working together to plant seeds of change.
Lipa, this is just the beginning. Let’s keep planting together. 🌱🌳
