We need change now!

As a mother, it breaks my heart to see how difficult this journey is, and even more so when I think about the relationship I’ve missed out on with my granddaughter. Grandparents are such an important part of a child’s life, and this current system is tearing families apart.

There are no ifs, buts, or maybes—this system needs to change. It’s hurting families, fathers, mothers, and especially grandparents. But most importantly, it’s hurting our children.

This system does not have the child’s best interests at heart. It’s a broken, outdated system that does not reflect the realities of family dynamics in 2025. It fails to address the needs of high-conflict situations, especially when dealing with narcissistic individuals who refuse to co-parent. This is about more than just one family—this is about every family.

I might not have a legal background, but I do have common sense, empathy, and compassion. And the current system has none of that.

Enough is enough! It’s time for change. Help me help you—get two people you know—whether it's a girlfriend, your mum, your mate, or your co-worker—to sign the petition. Let’s show the government that we mean business.
