Hello 123,518 of you!

Whilst it's been a while since I last wrote to you, I wanted you to know that our campaign to bring kindness to child refugees and restore the cartoon murals continues thanks to your support!

Last week was International Education Week. And as part of this, City of Sanctuary, UK schools in Birmingham supported our campaign by drawing murals on playgrounds - showing kindness, solidarity and welcome to refugee children.

One school’s Y1 and Y2 class chose to draw messages of welcome and solidarity with hearts with their initials inside. Another school’s Y3 class drew a united heart to “show we love refugees and asylum seekers and we welcome them to our community”.

These actions are a beautiful response to what feels like a broken world right now. We’ve posted some pictures here and here. Please share them widely.

Do you know a school/nursery that may be interested in taking action too? Or if you want to create a chalk mural for our campaign, we’d love to see it and use it to raise awareness for our campaign.
