I'd like to thank each and every one of you who’ve taken the time to sign and share this important petition - with over 78,000 signatures the response has been huge!
The community have overwhelmingly thrown their support behind the restoration of cardiac bypass surgery at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, but I’m reaching out to ask for your help once more.
As the Mayor of Randwick City Council I’ve been doing everything in my power to support the campaign by the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association, Senior Medical Staff Council and now also the Health Services Union. The majority of Randwick Councillors have voted in support of my Mayoral Minutes to write to the Health Minister, share and promote this petition on the council website and social media pages, as well as help fund and promote the upcoming Rally to restore Cardiac Surgery at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick at 10AM this Saturday December 2nd at High Cross Park, Randwick.
It's been incredibly disappointing that the Health Minister has broken a key election promise to restore the paediatric cardiac bypass surgery and not responded to requests for a meeting.
That’s why I’m asking for your help!
We need to send the Labor State Government a loud and clear message that we won't let up until they keep their election promise and return paediatric cardiac bypass surgery to the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick. Sick children at SCH are being put at risk by the Hon. Ryan Park’s decision to stop cardiac surgery including cardiac bypass at SCH Randwick
You can help build the pressure by coming to the
Rally to restore Cardiac Surgery at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick
10AM Saturday December 2nd at High Cross Park, Randwick
opposite the Randwick Light Rail stop.
You can also help by spreading the word far and wide by sharing the event – we need as many supporters as possible to attend!
I hope everyone in our community will come in numbers to show their support.
Together we can send the NSW Health Minister a loud and clear message that we won't let up until they keep their election promise and return paediatric cardiac bypass surgery to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. The children of NSW deserve better!
