One Island + One Corridor = Two Futures
By the time you read this, we've probably passed 42,000 signatures! We can see tangible progress being made with First Nations leadership, and an unrelenting momentum that won't stop until trains are running again!

"What we do today — and every day — determines what our tomorrow looks like. That is true of people, and it is true of places. This paper is about a decision Vancouver Island is making right now, largely without recognizing the full significance of the decision."

Those are the opening remarks of the paper linked above that articulates everything coherently and gracefully, and paints pictures of the island with and without rail in the future.  If you have some time, particularly if you are a decision maker, take the time to read Bill MacGougan's Substack article about the Vancouver Island Rail Corridor.

Good things come to those who help out!
There's a lot of good things happening around the railway, but that is no reason to become complacent.  Public pressure is needed now, and it will especially be needed later if the Province or the Federal Government ignores the outcomes of the Reconciliation Corridor Initiative in 2027.

Let's keep growing!
Let's keep emailing municipal councils, provincial MLA's and federal MP's.
Let's keep talking to our neighbors, friends, family and colleagues.
Let's keep reposting on social media, promoting and sharing!

Together we can make this happen for our near future, and for our grandchildren's island.

Petitioner,
Warren Skaalrud
