The BC Minister of Transportation and Transit, Mike Farnworth and Parliamentary Secretary for Transit, George Anderson had a serious talk with local leaders about funding the West to East section of the Island Rail Corridor to allow for its use in the event of a wildfire or highway closure.  2 weeks ago we heard that Municipal leaders were exited for LRT. There's an excitement building around the island for rail, and you're a part of it!
