Vancouver Island rail is all about connections and air travel is no exception.  The E&N Railway runs parallel to the #1 highway across from the Nanaimo Airport! The CEO of the Nanaimo Airport gave a presentation to the Regional District of Nanaimo highlighting the fact that Nanaimo Airport is the only International Airport on Vancouver Island serviceable by rail.

A small station there with a pedestrian overpass would be glorious!

It is Vancouver Island's time to have our only other transportation route besides the single set of highways restored.
