Did you hear the news? 

Chek News released an article today indicating that the BC Government has extended the Island Rail Public Engagement Grant for another year.  That's great!  That's another year we can keep building on the support for rail we have which is now only 914 away from 25,000 people! Share, Promote, and forward emails to boosted this petition to the moon! Let's reach for the stars so they can't ignore us!

Previously we were to hear by the Spring what the final results of the engagements and the outputs of the many working groups and contractor assessments were, but now things have been pushed back a year.  We're talking about getting 5 Regional Districts and 14 first Nations onboard 289km of track built in 1886.  More time means better odds of positive outcomes, and hopefully, a better, faster, more efficient line in the end. 

Thanks again for all your support, this petition is making a huge difference by keeping the line in the public's mind and on the Government's radar.
