Launched on July 28th 2023, the Petition to Restore and Enhance Vancouver Island's Railway Corridor with a fund up to $1 Billion has already reached another milestone, 1000 supporters! 

That took only 1 week, just think what the numbers could look like next week. The last Petition had over 10,000 supporters and that brought the previous Minister of Transportation, Omar Alghabra, to the island as well as Rob Fleming, the B.C. Minister of Transportation and Highways.

Keep up the sharing and promoting and we can make this happen!

Some big news!  Pablo Rodriguez pablo.rodriguez@parl.gc.ca took over as Federal Transportation Minister at the end of July, so we need to make some noise to get him out to the island to sort this mess around our railway out.  Let’s get those numbers up because the higher they go, the higher up they notice!  We are voters after all, and we have elections approaching.

I’ve secured support from a politician to present a motion to the government in support of this Petition, but I’m going to reach out to all the Political Parties in government to see if we can drum up cross-party support for it.  It shouldn’t be a partisan issue, it’s plainly obvious that the island needs this railway operational.
