Petition updateRestore Ancestral Lands to Indigenous Peoples of South AfricaWe, the rightful owners, demand accountability.

This is a heartfelt plea, not only as citizens of South Africa, but as descendants of the Indigenous people that once roamed this land freely. In the past, our ancestors were dispossessed of their land without their free and prior informed consent. Now, we humbly seek its restoration.

We, the so-called coloured people, have endured centuries of dispossession, cultural erasure, and systemic injustice. Our ancestral lands, identities, and futures have been hijacked by colonial powers. It's time to reclaim our rightful place as the original custodians of this land.

First, we demand the immediate return of our ancestral lands to their rightful Aboriginal owners. This is not only essential to preserving our cultural identity but also crucial for our autonomy as people. The land, taken without the consent of its Aboriginal inhabitants, is not merely property. It's a symbol of our history, our traditions, and our identity.

Second, we seek formal recognition of Aboriginal title and rights to self-governance. Establishing our autonomy is critical in safeguarding our unique cultural heritage and perpetuating our indigenous customs, beliefs, and traditions for future generations to come.

Lastly, we call for the establishment of a comprehensive land restitution program. Remaining true to its spirit, this program should, above all, guarantee the rights of indigenous communities to their ancestral lands - lands that have fed us, housed us and crafted our unique identities.

Your signature will help us regain what was once rightfully ours and reclaim the roots of our identity. Sign today to stand in solidarity with the Aboriginal people of South Africa.
