The Landings of Swansboro use to be a 3 star facility. it has since lost those three stars some time ago within the last year. Caldwell refuses to remove those stars from the wall and post the 0 star grading that was rightfully earned to the facility for its lack of leadership, organization, effective training, and inability to follow policy and procedures. This is why we have to let our voices be heard. Aren’t you tired of unwarranted increases in rent without so much as a courtesy call? Aren’t you tired of surprise pharmacy bills? Aren’t you tired of wondering whether your loved one has eaten a full meal or had a shower? Has management reached out and extended their condolences to you for the loss of your loved one? There’s no hair dresser! There’s no money for activities as Caldwell would rather use petty cash funds on her employee meals. She may even pay staff on the clock to move your loved one’s donated left behind furniture to her home after they pass away after she couldn’t even reach out and extend her condolences. This is sick and sad. Staff should be able to approach an administrator and not feel dismissed and unheard. When residents are sick families should be able to rest knowing that new medications have been received and administered. Please visit the NCDHHS website and read all statements of deficiencies from 2025-2026. Pay close attention to the statements of the administrator to state officials. There is absolutely no accountability whatsoever for systemic and ongoing issues, only pushing blame and lies. Because staffing an AL administrator is very difficult, ALG takes a blind eye to problematic facilities and their failures until it begins to affect their bottom line, profits. Residents and staff deserve an honest leader, a caring leader, and one that will strive to do the right thing at all times.
