On Words and Upwards Update - Petition Relaunch

Two years ago, while studying for my English degree, I started this petition because I believed GCSE English Language didn't fully reflect the subject it claimed to teach.

Since then, I've graduated, qualified as an English teacher and taught the GCSE specification in schools. Those experiences have strengthened my belief that English Language deserves a clearer disciplinary identity.

With the publication of the Curriculum and Assessment Review, now feels like the right time to relaunch this campaign. I've completely updated the petition to reflect both my experience and the wider national conversation around curriculum reform.
