With NSW Labor and their aligned Independent now pushing for what they’re calling a “compromise” lifting the psychological injury threshold to 25% in 2026 and 28% in 2028 the message for injured workers is simple:
This legislation was always going to pass the Lower House.
Labor controls the Legislative Assembly. Their MPs are not permitted a conscience vote. The numbers were locked.
But the fight is not over.
Because Labor does NOT control the Upper House.
And that is where the Workers Compensation Bill now heads.
If injured workers, families, carers, unions, advocates, small businesses, and every community impacted by this reform want to be heard, NOW is the time to make noise.
Now is the moment to contact every NSW Upper House member across all parties and make it clear:
These changes affect real people.
Real injuries.
Real families.
Real futures.
If you believe the threshold hike is unfair
If you believe psychological injuries deserve to be treated with dignity
If you believe injured workers have already given enough
This is the time to speak.
Not later.
Not once it’s too late.
Go hard or go home.
