We're delighted to say the intervention of Keir Starmer MP for Holborn and St Pancras has now been made public and the other Camden MP Tulip Siddiq has been speaking up for the cafés in the House of Commons. On a sadder note one operator who is losing his café to Daisy Green has been offered a colleague's café instead. Would you say this was a Divide and Rule tactic by the City? If so we couldn't possibly comment. On the legal front the position is, a first letter went out from lawyers for Hoxton Beach who run the Lido, Queens Park and Highgate Wood cafés and on Monday a 'robust' reply came back from Michael Cogher the deputy Town Clerk. This gave helpful indications of the grounds on which the legal battle must be fought and the all important Letter Before Action will go back within days from Hoxton Beach's lawyers. This is all expensive -- the first legal bill has just been paid -- and we do still need all the financial help you can spare https://gofund.me/9f1527303 There is some more media coverage on the way which we will post as if appears on Instagram @realcafescampaign and our website www.realcafescampaign.com Thank you all so much and do keep signing and sharing the petition !
