Based on thoughtful feedback from a former ACA SJAC employee, we have revised the petition and removed the following bolded text:
"Dogs should not receive a FINAL status due to stress-related declines without attempts by shelter staff to provide enrichment, walk the dogs, or follow a behavioral treatment plan designated by a qualified behaviorist."

In the interest of transparency and ethical communication, we are informing everyone who has already signed the petition under the previous language. Your support continues to be deeply appreciated as we work toward meaningful change.
