Thanks to everyone who’s signed and shared this so far, I really appreciate the early support.

This petition is about an issue that many people experience but don’t always feel confident challenging: employer-required travel time being treated inconsistently, especially for mobile and multi-site roles and apprentices.

While guidance and case law exist, in practice the rules are often unclear, poorly communicated in contracts, or applied inconsistently. That leaves a lot of workers unsure of their rights or worried about pushing back.

The aim here isn’t to duplicate existing guidance, but to push for clearer, more explicit rules and better awareness, so people aren’t left relying on case-by-case disputes or informal arrangements.
